Frequently asked questions
Yes - Dogs must attend and pass a behavioural assessment (trial session) to ensure they have a good and friendly nature towards humans and other dogs.
The assessment must be completed before attending day care and can be booked via the Customer Pawtal (once registered).
All dogs interact differently and a result, we insist that all new dogs attend a trial session/evaluation to ensure day care is right for your them.
Day care is pack mentality, it’s important that all dogs are able to play well together. Unfortunately, not all dogs are suited to day care and not all day cares will be suitable for every dog.
After a trial session/evaluation has been completed, we will discuss our observations and make a recommendations that we feel are appropriate (for example hourly sessions initially etc).
We do not accept un-neutered male dogs over the age of 9 months.
Younger male dogs that develop inappropriate hormonal behaviour before they reach 9 months may also be suspended from day care.
Bitches who come into season will not be able to attend for the duration of the season, usually 2-3 weeks.
Day care works best of your dog attends on a regular basis.
We request that your dog attends day care at least twice a month to maintain their place (obviously we will make allowances for holidays and emergency situations).
A trial session will need to be completed if your dog hasn't attended day care for 2 months or more - this ensure that they are still suited to day care.
